Cheval Franc is a Private Estate selection wine made up predominantly from Cabernet Franc and a small percentage of Syrah grapes, all grown and handpicked from the Cheval franc Estate. This estate was chosen for it's proximity to the sea with it's cool evening breeze and it's largely clayish soil that gives consistently low yields of excellent quality grapes resulting in a rounded complex wine it's own distinct character.
Intense ripe black fruit aromas with some peppery and distinct hebaceous notes. On the palate it is medium bodied and well structured with smooth, velvety tannins and a very pleasant, long lingering finish. It is excellent on it's own or as an accompaniment to grilled or rast meats and rich pasta dishes.
The 2019 vintage yielded 15.931 bottles
